THE holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi is being observed in different parts of India. It marked the anniversary of birth and demise of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be upon Him) amid massive religious festivity and fervor.

Different Islamic organizations, have organised elaborate programmes to mark the day.

The programmes include religious sermons, seminars, exhibition of Islamic calligraphy and posters based on the life of the Prophet (PBUH).

“Milad Mehfils” and “Seerat Conferences” will be held highlighting the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad. Milad processions are also being taken out to mark the occasion.

Some organizing committees have decided to cancel the processions in view of Ayodhya verdict by the Supreme Court to maintain peace and harmony.

President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have greeted the people on the occasion.

The President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind in his message on the eve of Milad-un-Nabi has said: –

“On the auspicious occasion of Milad-un-Nabi, the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), I extend my good wishes to all fellow citizens, especially to my Muslim brothers and sisters.

Let us learn and get inspired from life of Prophet Muhammad and work for the well being of all by spreading his message of universal brotherhood and compassion”.
