She had been hoping for a big victory in Nevada where she is popular with Hispanic and minority voters.

Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump has won the South Carolina primary, a big win as he looks to distance himself from his rivals in the race for the nomination. The votes could be key ahead of the Super Tuesday round on the 1st of next month.

Primaries and caucuses are methods that political parties use to select candidates for a general election. A primary is a state-level election where party members vote to choose a candidate affiliated with their political party, while a caucus is a local meeting where the members vote to elect their candidate as well as conduct other party business.
The victory for Trump claimed a major scalp when former Florida Governor Jeb Bush dropped out of the race.
