Padayatras across the country from August 6–15 to culminate in mass mobilisation in the national capital

The Communist Party of India (CPI) has announced a nationwide political campaign that will culminate in the “Badlaav Zaroori Hai Rally” at Ramleela Maidan, New Delhi, on September 1, 2026, aimed at mobilising public opinion against what it describes as the BJP government’s handling of key economic and social issues.
According to the party, the campaign will include nationwide Padayatras from August 6 to 15, bringing together party workers and supporters across the country before the final rally in the national capital.
The CPI said the campaign seeks to highlight a range of issues, including rising inflation, unemployment, communal polarisation, deterioration in public education and healthcare, examination paper leaks, the pending implementation of the Women’s Reservation law, workers’ rights, concerns over electoral processes, and the alleged displacement and atrocities faced by Dalits and Adivasis.
To formally launch the campaign, outline its objectives and unveil the official poster of the “Badlaav Zaroori Hai Rally,” CPI General Secretary D. Raja, along with other senior party leaders, will address a press conference in New Delhi.
The rally is expected to serve as the culmination of the party’s nationwide outreach programme and is likely to bring together workers, farmers, youth, women and representatives from various mass organisations affiliated with the CPI.
