In a major success for Chhattisgarh police, 29 naxals, including 11 women, surrendered in insurgency-hit Sukma district yesterday.
Sukma SP Abhishek Meena said, the ultras surrendered citing disappointment with the hollow ideology of Maoists and violence. He said, Maoists accompanied by local villagers expressed their anger against the anti-development and anti-tribal attitude of naxals.

The police officer informed that the surrendered Maoists were working for different sub-groups and frontal outfits of outlawed CPI (Maoist) in southern part of Sukma district.
