Two security personnel were killed and five injured in a Maoist attack in Bijapur district of Bastar region of  Chhattisgarh on Monday.

According to information received so far, district police personnel were returning in a bus from Kutru to Bijapur, after a search operation when maoists triggered a powerful blast targeting the bus near Eramnar.

Two jawans were killed on the spot, while five other were injured. Injured jawans were airlifted to the state capital.

Meanwhile, Maoists triggered two more IED blasts in Bijapur district today. One CRPF jawan was injured in the incident.

These blasts were occurred at Mahadev ghat, about four kilometers from the district headquarter. Injured Jawan belongs to 85th battalion of CRPF.
