Campaigning has entered into the last phase for the assembly elections in Karnataka. Senior leaders of the major political parties are holding roadshows and addressing public meetings.
Senior BJP leader and Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a mega road show in Bengaluru and addressed two public rallies at Badami and Haveri.
In his address at Badami, the Prime Minister thanked the people of Bengaluru for turning up in huge numbers for his roadshow. Mr. Modi said he is witnessing a never before enthusiasm in the people of Karnataka. Charging Congress of appeasement, Mr Modi said the opposition party is stooping low for vote bank politics.
In his public address at Haveri, Mr Modi charged the Congress of being the 85% commission government. He said people of Karnataka have no faith in hollow promises made by the opposition party and will vote only for BJP.
Senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi will address a public meeting in Hubli in a short while. Her son Rahul Gandhi and party president Mallikarjun Kharge will also be present on the occasion.
