The Secretary for Information & Broadcasting Sunil Arora has said that digitization of cable TV network is an important initiative of central government. Addressing a meeting of Media Heads of I&B Ministry in Jodhpur today, Mr. Arora said that the third phase of cable TV digitization will be over by 31st December for which four crore set top boxes are required.
He said that the objective of this programme is to provide quality telecast to the consumers. The I&B Secretary said that a meeting is scheduled in Delhi next month to discuss the issue of improving the quality of AIR and DD programmes in the bordering Jodhpur division.
