Producer and Indian Film and Television Producers Guild President Mukesh Bhatt today said, bollywood filmmakers will not work with Pakistani artistes in future. Mr Bhatt told this to reporters in Mumbai after meeting Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena Chief Raj Thackeray.
Film producers, including Karan Johar accompanied him. The meeting was called by the Chief Minister to resolve the issue of release of film, ‘Ae Dil hai Mushkil’ starring Pakistani actor Fawad Khan.
Mukesh Bhatt said that Karan Johar has offered to put a slate of tribute for Uri martyrs before ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ starts playing. The film is due to release this Friday. Karan Johar will also to contribute in the army welfare fund irrespective of the film performance.
Mr Bhatt further said, a meeting of producers will be called and a resolution will be passed to ban Pakistani actors.
After the meeting MNS Chief Raj Thackeray announced to withdraw their stand to block the release of the film Ae Dil hai Mushkil. MNS had spearheaded the protest against the film as it is starring a Pakistani actor and had threatened to block the release of the film.
