Asian Market: Singapore’s Straits Times ends 1.8 percent up, and Japan’s NIKKEI-225 gains 0.4 percent

Asian shares today ended with gains. Singapore’s Straits Times ended 1.8 percent up, South Korea’s KOSPI rose 1.4 percent and Japan’s NIKKEI-225 gained 0.4 percent.

Trade did not place in Hong Kong’s Hang Seng and China’s Shanghai Composite index.  

European shares were down in intra-day trade. London’s FTSE-100 slipped 0.1 percent while France’s CAC and Germany’s DAX, both were trading 0.3 percent down.
