Andhra Pradesh received 340 investment proposals worth over Rs 13 lakh crores, during the Global Investor Summit, in Visakhapatnam today.

The investment is likely to create over 6 lakh jobs in Andhra Pradesh across 20 sectors. Investments were announced in Steel, Energy, Cement, Airport, Healthcare, and manufacturing sector.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy informed that as of today, 92 MoUs worth Rs 11 lakh crore were executed, while the remaining would be executed tomorrow. Pointing out the large renewable energy potential of 82.5 GW, he said Andhra Pradesh is one of the very few states in India that has combined potential for solar, wind and pumped storage.

Mr Reddy added that consistent improvement in the governance framework to create a hassle-free investment environment has been augmented by hard infrastructure.
