vc-neelimaThe newly-established Women’s Club of the Aligarh Muslim University conferred its honorary membership on Prof Neelima Gupta, Vice Chancellor, Chhatterpati Shahuji Maharaj University, Kanpur and an alumna of AMU, at a glittering function. Prof Gupta recently visited the club and met its Patron, Dr Hameeda Tariq, other office bearers and members of the club.

Sharing her success story with the members of the club, Prof Gupta said that being a woman, she had to overcome a number of problems and challenges to reach this position. She, however, admitted that AMU played a significant role in strengthening her to either change or challenge the stereotypical attitude towards women.
