Allahabad High Court celebrates 150th foundation day

The Allahabad High Court is celebrating its 150th foundation day today. President Pranab Mukherjee will be the Chief Guest at today’s celebrations. Chief Justice of India, TS Thakur and Union Law Minister DV Sadananda Gowda are also among the dignitaries who will attend the function. Justice Thakur last evening inaugurated the dedicated the Digitization Centre of the High Court.

High court will witness a galaxy of dignitaries and VIPs Including President, Governor and, Chief minister on the occasion its 150 years of foundation.President Pranab Mukherkke will deliver his key note address at the historic premises of high court . On this memorable occassion, Reserve bank of India is releasing a 10 rupees coin.

Postal department will release a postage stamp and a Souvenir is being brought out by the High court. Several political and legal luminaries were part of this historic court which began its journey from March 1866 from Agra and later shifted to Allahabad in 1869..The Court has also a bench in Lucknow.
