ALLAHABAD HCAllahabad High Court has asked Uttar Pradesh government to submit details regarding steps taken to stop cheating at mass level in ongoing UP Board Examinations for High School and Intermediate.

A two-judge bench comprising Chief Justice DY Chandrachud and Justice Yashwant Varma asked the Principal Secretary for Secondary Education to submit their report and fixed next week for further hearing. The high court order came on a PIL filed by Gazipur district unit of Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shikshak Sangh. The union has alleged that college management and mass copying mafia are responsible for widespread organised cheating in Board examinations and pleaded the court to take action on this issue.

UP Board examinations are currently under progress and more than 67 lakh students are appearing in that.
