At least 30 people have been killed and 80 wounded in twin bombings near the Afghan Parliament in Kabul. Most of the dead were civilians, including Parliament employees. The attack took place during rush hour, as staff were leaving the Parliament complex.

Ministry of Interior Affairs spokesman Sediq Sediqqi said that atleast one of the blasts was apparently caused by a car bomb. An injured Parliament security guard said that the first explosion happened outside the parliament, wounding a number of workers.

The blasts, part of a wave of attacks across Afghanistan on Tuesday, took place during rush hour as staff were leaving the complex.

PM Modi condemns terror attack in Kabul

The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has condemned the terror attack in Kabul. Prime Minister condoled the loss of innocent lives in the attack.

“Strongly condemn the terror attack in Kabul and condole loss of innocent lives. India stands with Afghanistan in its fight against terrorism”, the Prime Minsiter said.
