Delhi is all set to give a grand welcome to ‘Lord Ganesha` in view of Ganesh Utsav approaching August 25. On this pious occasion, the Exhibition-cum-Sale of Ganesh Idols has been organized by Marhati Maharashtra Emporium from Wednesday.
Since last 20 years, the Marhati Emporium situated at Connaught Place on the Baba Kharak Singh Marg, the Delhi office of Maharashtra Small Scale Industries Development Ltd. has been organizing such exhibitions for devotees in Delhi and NCR, says the Resident Manager of the Emporium, Amarjyot Kaur Arora.
Apart from Ganesh Idols, Pooja Articles, decoration items and colourful rangolis will also be made available here, on a reasonable price. The prices of pious Ganesh Idols range from Rs 600/- to Rs 30,000/- Many Ganesh Mandals located in and around Delhi make advance bookings almost 7-8 months before the start of the festival by a number and people is done.
Mandar Shinde, the skillful artist behind the making of all these idols says, he gets immense satisfaction in making and decorating the idols. A total of 1200 Ganpati idols have been kept for exhibition-cum-sale. Care has been taken to protect the environment by displaying maximum eco-friendly idols totaling 1000 and plaster of paris idols totaling 200.
