Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi today termed Nitish Kumar as “unprincipled” and an “opportunist” and said he knew “three-four months ago” that the Bihar chief minister was planning to sunder the ‘grand alliance’.
Rahul also said Nitish’s move was symptomatic of “the problem with Indian politics”, where people take decisions “based on pure self-interest”.
The Congress leader’s comments came soon after Nitish was once again sworn in as chief minister, in less thatn 24 hours after resigning from the post and undoing the ‘grand alliance’ of the Congress, the RJD and the JD (U).
