At least 14 people were killed and twenty-six others wounded when a bus veered off the road and overturned in northern Baghlan province in Afghanistan today.
A spokesman for the Baghlan governor, Mahmood Haqmal, said the bus was travelling from the capital Kabul to northern Mazar province. Haqmal said that an investigation into the crash has been launched.
Traffic accidents are common in Afghanistan, where traffic rules are seldom enforced and roads are often in bad condition.
