BJP will come to power in Odisha in 2019: Venkaiah Naidu

Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu today expressed confidence that BJP would come to power in Odisha in 2019. Mr. Naidu, who reached Bhubaneswar today to attend the BJP’s national executive meeting, said that the people of the country have faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi government for its pro-poor schemes and policies. He said, the BJP’s base is growing in Odisha.
The two-day BJP national executive meeting at Janata Maidan in the capital city Bhubaneswar is scheduled to start in a short while from now. Party sources said, BJP’s Mission 2019 will get its final shape at the conclave. They said, the meeting will also discuss to ensure that benefits of all the schemes and policies of the Central government reach to grass root level. They said, top leadership is likely to give a call for pushing the party’s expansion in the new territories like Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Tripura, Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

Briefing media earlier, Union minister of state for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan said, Odisha will be the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s laboratory for testing of several welfare schemes targeted at the economically weaker sections.
Apart from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP national president Amit Shah, 40 Union ministers, 13 chief ministers, several deputy chief ministers and 335 BJP working executive members including senior leader LK Advani will be attending the two-day meet.
Party sources said, Mr Modi is scheduled to reach Bhubaneswar this afternoon who will proceed to the Raj Bhavan before attending the national executive meet at Janata Maidan at 5.00 pm. The Prime Minister will visit the Lord Lingaraj temple for darshan of the deity tomorrow.
