Soon after Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj sought a report about the attack on a German national in the national capital, Delhi police today apprehended two people in connection with the case.

Two people identified as Rajkishore and Rizwan were arrested for allegedly attacking the German national Benjamin Scolt last night with sharp weapon and looting his belongings, police said.

Earlier, Ms Swaraj tweeted, “I have asked for a report on the attack on German national in Delhi. I have asked Delhi Government to provide him best medical treatment.”

The incident occurred at around 2330 hrs last night when the victim boarded a rickshaw from the New Delhi Railway Station to the Red Fort.

Meanwhile, Ms Swaraj through a tweet also informed that the two accused wanted for attack on German national have been arrested.
