The Enforcement Directorate, ED, has attached a farmhouse worth 27 crore rupees in connection with money laundering probe against Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh and others.

According to reports agency issued a provisional order attaching the farmhouse located in south Delhi’s Mehrauli area under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

The latest action by ED comes close on the heels of CBI filing a charge sheet against Mr Singh, his wife and others for allegedly amassing assets worth around 10 crore rupees disproportionate to their known sources of income.

The ED had filed a criminal case under PMLA against Mr Singh and others in 2015 based on CBI’s FIR.
