The contentious issue of ticket distribution to the candidates in Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh refuses to die down as party chief Mulayam Singh has not yet taken the call on the matter. Refusing to accept several candidates to whom state party chief Shivpal Yadav had given tickets, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav sent his own list of all 403 candidates to party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav.
Because of recent developments in Samajwadi Party, the candidates who either got the Vidhan Sabha ticket or in queue to get one, are the most perplexed one. They are quite apprehensive of the situation over what will happen if they lose ticket afterwards during the electioneering and after much has been spent. As of now nephew Akhilesh Yadav and uncle Shivpal Yadav have refused to blink first. The party loyalists are waiting for the final outcome of this turf war with bated breath.
