President of India has condoled the passing away of former President of Cuba, Fidel Castro. In a tweet, Mr Mukherjee described him as a friend of India. Mr Mukherjee called him a revolutionary leader.
Vice President Hamid Ansari has also condoled the passing away of former President of Cuba Fidel Castro. Mr Ansari said, he was saddened at the passing away of Commander Fidel Castro of Cuba. Describing him as the architect of Cuban Revolution, Mr Ansari said, the developing countries have lost a champion of equality and justice.
The Vice President said, Castro was a dear friend of India and the people will continue to remember him for his role in the Non-Aligned Movement. In message, Mr Ansari also remembered the meeting with Castro during his visit to Havana in October 2013.
