army 2Heavy exchange of fire is going on between Indian and Pakistani forces in twin border districts of Poonch and Rajouri along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir, since morning today.

Defence sources said that Pakistani troops started unprovoked firing in Krishna Ghati, Bhimber Gali, Balakote, Mankote, Manjakote and Nowshera sectors targeting border posts and civilian areas about 9 A.M. this morning.

Indian forces guarding the borderline retaliated and provided a befitting reply to Pakistani shelling. Exchange of fire is still continuing. No report of any new causality or injury to Indian side until now. Earlier, on Monday Pakistani forces had resorted to heavy shelling and firing in these districts.
