Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, urging him to look into the grievances of the soldiers, including One Rank One Pension.
Mr Gandhi requested the Prime Minister to ensure soldiers get their due whether it is regarding compensation, disability pension or parity with civil employees.
He said, OROP must be implemented in meaningful way to satisfy ex-servicemen. The Congress leader said, on the occasion of Diwali, the message must be sent to soldiers that nation’s gratitude is expressed both in words and in deed.
