Samajwadi party leader and state minister in Uttar Pradesh, Pawan Pandey has been expelled from the party for six years . Pawan Pandey had allegedly assaulted MLC Ashu Malik, a close associate of Mulayam Singh when both were at Chief Minister official residence.
Taking strong cognizance of the incident, state party chief Shivpal Yadav today expelled Pawan Pandey from the party for indiscipline. MLC Ashu Malik claimed that he was slapped by the party leader Pawan Pandey at chief minister’s residence.
He said Akhilesh Yadav was not present when the incident took place. Pawan Pandey is an MLA from Ayodhya and minister of state in the council of ministers of Akhilesh Yadav. Political analysts are closely watching the next move of Akhilesh Yadav whether he removes Pawan Pandey from his council or not.
Technically Pawan Pandey can not remain a minister as he has been expelled from the party itself. However, a meeting is going on at the residence of Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, which sources claimed is about the finalisation of the nitty gritties for Vikas Rath Yatra to be taken out on November 3rd by UP Chief Minister.
