cauvery_b_04-10-2012Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that his government will consult legal experts and take appropriate measure on the Supreme Court direction to release Cauvery river water to Tamil Nadu. Speaking in Bengaluru, he said that reservoirs in Karnataka have not enough water.

The Supreme Court yesterday directed Karnataka to release 2,000 cusecs of water to Tamil Nadu per day till the next order.

Meanwhile, Mr. Siddaramaiah has called an all party meeting today evening to discuss Mahadayi water sharing issue. The all party meeting today will evolve state stance on seeking its share of Mahadayi river water. He is scheduled to meet the Chief Ministers of Maharashtra and Goa on 21st this month.
