At least 18 people have been killed and many injured in missile and suspected chlorine gas attacks in Aleppo, Syria,. Meanwhile, the United Nations’ top aid official has said a three-hour truce announced by Russia to deliver aid to Aleppo would not be enough to meet needs of civilians.
The United Nations has called for 48-hour weekly pauses for the aid deliveries. On the other side, clashes are intensifying between both sides around the city’s southern regions for control of the city.
Earlier, the remaining Doctors in the rebel-held east of the city appealed to US President Barack Obama to come to the aid of the 250,000 civilians there. They called on Mr Obama to impose a no-fly zone over Aleppo to stop air strikes.
