Russian President, Vladimir Putin, and his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, will meet today in St. Petersburg in an effort to accelerate normalization of relations. The two leaders will also discuss ways and means to boost cooperation in trade, tourism and energy sectors.
It would be the first interaction between the two leaders since Russia and Turkey began normalizing relations following the downing of a Russian jet in November last year.
