The Bahujan Samaj Party has attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his remarks on the so called cow protectors “Gaurakshak”. BSP chief Mayawati on Sunday said that if that was the case then most these anti-social elements were in the BJP ruled states only.
Mayawati in a statement also questioned the Prime Minister as to why such a statement was issued outside Parliament where there was no scope for `cross-questioning’ by the MPs. Mayawati said that the PM has not only been maintaining a discreet silence over the issue but did not give necessary instructions to get the so called `anti-social’ elements arrested.
COW PROTECTION BRIGADES ARE ANTI SOCIAL ELEMENTS: PM MODI
Mayawati alleged that Mr. Modi’s reaction came after a long gap to hide wrongdoings of BJP and its associated organisations in view of upcoming UP assembly elections. She asked the Prime Minister to explain to the people why most of such activities are taking place in BJP ruled states in the name of cow protection. She said why the main culprits of Una incident in Gujarat are still at large.
The BSP Supremo said when the Parliament is in session, the Prime Minister should have made his statement on the floor of the house so that it could have been debated. She said Mr Modi should have directed the states and union home ministry to take action against criminal elements instead of asking for their dossiers.
