The AIADMK Chief Ms. Jayalalithaa has expelled Ms. Sasikala Pushpa, Member of Parliament in Rajya Sabha for violating party discipline. According to the release from the Party, Ms. Pushpa has been removed from the primary membership for bringing bad name to her party.
She had allegedly got into a tussle with the longtime DMK MP Tiruchi Siva at the Delhi Airport. Mr.Siva had told that action would be taken against her for slapping him on Saturday for no reason at the Airport.
During her Zero Hour mention, Sasikala Pushpa in the Rajya Sabha complained that there is a threat to her life and sought government protection. She said, her dignity is at stake and even in Tamil Nadu she has no safety.
Several opposition members pleaded with the Chair to allow her to speak. Responding to this Deputy Chairman P J Kurien told the agitating member that she can approach Chairman, who is the custodian of the House.
