South west monsoon has brought heavy rain in many parts of Tamil Nadu including Hosur, Madurai, Tirunelveli and Tiruchirapalli.
An upper air trough from northwest Madhya Pradesh to interior Tamil Nadu will result in more rain according to Chennai Met Office. MeT office has warned strong winds from southwesterly direction at 55 Kilo metre per hour speed off the coast of Tamil Nadu.
Normal life has been thrown out of gear in Hosur and many parts of Krishnagiri district due to heavy rain. Water has seeped in many low lying areas in the district. People are being moved to safer places including schools and temple complexes. Water level has reached its full capacity in Ramanaicken lake, Amman nagar lake in Hosur.
Krishnagiri district Collector kathiravan and Hosur Sub collector Senthilraj are monitoring the situation. South west monsoon has brought in heavy rain in western ghat region of Tirunelveli district. Water is flowing like a cascade in Main Falls, Five Falls and tourists are not allowed to bathe as water is gushing out beyond security chain.
