At least three Navy personnel were injured, one of them critically, in an explosion on board Indian Naval Ship INS Nireekshak off Virginia en route Mumbai from Visakhapatnam, Navy spokesperson informed today. During the charging of diving bailout bottle, which is carried by divers in their diving helmet, one of the bottles exploded on April 16, causing injuries to three personnel. The injured were taken to Military Hospital at Trivandrum. They are stable and have since been shifted to Mumbai, the spokesperson said. An inquiry has been ordered to probe the incident.
