At least 16 Palestinian pilgrims were killed and 36 injured in a bus accident in Jordan. The bus overturned late yesterday near the border with Saudi Arabia. Hospital doctor Walid Ruwad says several critically injured people were flown to a hospital in the Jordanian capital of Amman.
He says two children were among the dead. The news agency says the driver apparently lost control before the bus overturned. The passengers from the West Bank were headed to Saudi Arabia for a pilgrimage.
