Notification has been issued Wednesday for elections for three tier Panchayati Raj institutions in Bihar. Model code of conduct has been enforced in the state following issuance of notification. The ten phases elections beginning from 24th April, will conclude on 30th May.
Pollling will be held for two lakh 58 thousand 908 different posts of panchyati raj institution including members of Zila Parishad, Gram Panchayat Mukhia, Sarpanch and Panchayat Samiti members. Over 05 crore 85 lakh 50 thousand electorates will exercise their right of franchise to elect candidates.
