Congress today alleged that Dadri lynching incident was a pre mediated and conspired strategy to create an atmosphere of fear for political gain in Bihar. Briefing reporters in New Delhi this evening, senior party leader Kapil Sibal said Dadri incident was an attack on Constitution, fundamentals of democracy, spirit of tolerance and soul of India.
Mr Sibal sought to know from Prime Minister Narendra Modi why communal tension rises before every election. He said some renowned writers and Sahitya Akademi winners have returned their awards in protest against the assault on right to freedom of both life and expression. He said Mahatma Gandhi would have gone on a fast unto death had he witnessed Dadri incident. He said Prime Minister must fulfill his promise of preserving communal harmony in the nation.
