The National Democratic Alliance will decide on seat sharing agreement for upcoming Bihar assembly elections within a week. BJP President Amit Shah today held a meeting with the NDA partners in New Delhi and discussed the strategy for polls. Talking to media LJP Chief Ram Vilas Paswan said joint campaign strategy and measures to strengthen the front were discussed in the meeting. He categorically stated that there are on differences in the NDA over seat sharing and it will be done amicably in the coming days.

Mr. Paswan termed the yesterday’s JD(U), RJD and Congress rally as a flop show and claimed that NDA will get two third majority in the assembly polls. He also alleged that Congress President Sonia Gandhi was insulted in the rally as she was allowed to speak before RJD Chief Lalu Prasad and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. RLSP leader Upendra Kushwaha said the alliance would speak in one voice with their foremost priority being on big victory.

It was the first such meeting of NDA constituents which was chaired by BJP president Amit Shah and NDA allies put up an united front amid vocal demands being made by some partners on their share of seats for the assembly elections, The leaders ruled out any conflict among the partners over the seats sharing.

Instead, they said the crucial issue of seat-sharing was not discussed. Ram Vilas Paswan said it was decided that no statement on seat sharing will be made by leaders and only authorized person will speak. NDA’s rival, JD(U), RJD and Congress combine have already announced their seat sharing arrangements for the 243 assembly polls.

HAM (Secular) leader Jitan Ram Manjhi, Union Ministers Ananth Kumar and Dharmendra Pradhan participated in the meeting besides state leaders Sushil Modi and Nand Kishor Yadav among others.
