The third season of the Nepal Premier League, Nepal’s premier franchise-based T20 cricket tournament, begins today at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur. The tournament will continue until November 21, with eight franchises competing for the title. The opening match will see defending champions Lumbini Lions take on last season’s runners-up, Sudurpaschim Royals. This season marks a major milestone, with International Cricket Council recognition and the introduction of the Decision Review System, allowing teams to challenge certain umpiring decisions. The tournament will feature international stars, including former Australian captain David Warner, West Indies all-rounder Andre Russell, South African batter David Miller and Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan.
