Ports, Shipping and Waterways Minister Sarbananda Sonowal today said that the Cochin Shipyard limited has received orders to build over 40 ships from the multiple countries including US, Germany, and Norway. Addressing a Press Conference in New Delhi, Mr Sonowal said that his ministry is creating a comfortable ecosystem for shipbuilding in the country. He also highlighted that Indian Shipbuilders are earning credibility across the globe in shipbuilding. Mr Sonowal added that such orders reflect growing confidence of the nations.
