Defence Minister Rajnath Singh today released Border Roads Organisation BRO Guide to ensure timely execution of projects. BRO has developed a guide to address the issues of time and cost overruns arising from inadequately prepared Detailed Project Reports-DPRs.
The Ministry of Defence said that the guide aims to enhance the quality and consistency of the reports while ensuring the timely execution of projects. It is also contributing to improved strategic connectivity and socio-economic development of border regions through systematic planning, technical accuracy, quality assurance and cost-effectiveness.
The Ministry said that the guide is developed to assist engineers at every stage of project formulation, whether for new construction or the upgradation of existing road infrastructure.
