This was stated by Minister of State for Minority Affairs Vincent H. Pala in the Lower House of the Parliament recently. He has informed the House that it has been recently decided by the Government to review the progress of implementation of the decisions taken as a follow-up action on the recommendations of Sachar Committee every six month by the Committee of Secretaries and the Cabinet as is done in the case of the Prime Minister’s New 15 Point Programme for the Welfare of Minorities.
Giving this information in a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha, he highlighted the achievements of various Ministries implementing the decisions taken on the recommendations of Prime Minister’s High Level Committee on Social, Economic and Educational Status of the Muslim Community of India.
