Campaigning for seventh and final phase of Lok Sabha elections is at crescendo as only two days left for canvassing. Voting in this phase will be held for 57 Parliamentary Constituencies across seven states and a Union Territory on 1st of June. A total of 904 candidates are in the fray in this phase.

Prime Minister and senior BJP leader Narendra Modi has said that everyone looks at India with respect today, be it the US, Europe, or Japan. Addressing an election rally in Mathurapur, West Bengal, Mr Modi said, this has been made possible because people voted to power a BJP led NDA government at the Centre. Listing the achievements of his government, Prime Minister said, in the past 10 years, Central government has provided pucca houses to 4 crore poor people, brought tap water connection to over 12 crore homes and provided electricity to every village.

Yesterday addressing a rally in Modi’s parliamentary constituency Varanasi, he said the contest here was not between a prime ministerial candidate and Congress nominee Ajay Rai because Modi will not return as PM. “I am telling you with a guarantee that after June 4, Narendra Modi ji will not be the prime minister of this country,” Gandhi said.

“The contest between the two is intense and in this contest.and in this contest, Ajay Rai may win,” he said. The rally was also addressed by Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav.

In Bihar, Senior BJP leader and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is holding a public meeting in Bikramganj in Karakat parliamentary constituency in favour of NDA candidate. He is also scheduled to hold public meetings in Buxar and Patna Sahib Lok Sabha constituencies.

BJP state president and Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary is attending public meetings in Jehanabad constituency. He will address public meetings in Karakat, Nalanda, Sasaram and Pataliputra Lok Sabha constituencies.


Lok Janshakti Party Ramvilas chief Chirag Paswan addressed public meeting in Chenari in Sasaram parliamentary constituency. He calimed that NDA will clean sweep in the elections.

Eight parliamentary constituencies will go to the polls on 1st June.

In Uttar Pradesh, Union Home minister and Senior BJP leader Amit Shah has a hectic day in state with four rallies and a road show. Addressing his first rally in Maharajganj, Mr Shah claimed that BJP will get more than 300 seats in just five phase of elections and sixth and seventh phase will give the party more than 400 seats. He is sheduled to address rallies in Deoriya, Ballia and Sonbhadra. In Ghazipur he will hold a road show.

Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath today addressed a political rally in Kushinagar and said that only BJP is capable in safeguarding the borders of the country.

He will campaign in Deoriya and Gorakhpur districts also.

On the other hand Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav will campaign for Party candidate in Dudhi assembly constituency where bypolls will be held in the final phase of elections. He will later address rallies in Robertsganj and Mirzapur Loksabha constituencies also.

Senior congress leader Rahul Gandhi came down heavily on BJP.
