Promoting India’s rich cultural heritage, the Consulate General of India Dubai played host to Bharat Sanskriti Yatra, organized by the Hindusthan Art and Music Society.
Bharat Sanskriti Yatra is organized by the Hindusthan Art and Music Society under the scheme of national presence by the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India. Bharat Sanskriti Yatra seeks to promote India’s rich cultural heritage and enhance India’s image in the global arena in a concerted manner.
The evening unfolded with a series of awe-inspiring performances, ranging from classical forms like sitar and sarod duet Kathak to melodious renditions of Indian classical music, Odissi, Rabindra Nrithya, and more.
Speaking at the event, Consul Bijender Singh emphasized the importance of cultural diplomacy in showcasing the true essence of India to the world. He also mentioned that Bharat Sanskriti Yatra is not just a mere event but a journey through the very soul of the nation. The Consul expressed gratitude to the Hindusthan Art and Music Society for their tireless efforts in organizing such an extraordinary event, emphasizing the impact it would have on India’s global image.
Renowned artists from India showcased their talent, captivating the audience with their mastery and grace. The event featured Guru Gajendra Panda (Odissi), Pt. Manoj & Mormukut Kedia (Sitar & Sarod Duet) with Pt. Prosenjit Poddar on tabla & Swaminathan Pillai on Ghatyam, Guru Madhumita Roy (Kathak), Dr. Debesh Thakur (Solo Drama), Devlina Kumar (Manipuri), Mrs. Manika Thakur, Mrs. Silpi Kundu (Rabindra Sangeet), Sujata Nayak (Odissi), Dr. Tapsi Rath & Ms. Suchilagna Panigrahi (Duet Odissi), and Group Dance.
