The High Commission of India in Bangladesh organised a listening programme for the 100th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mann Ki Baat programme at the Chancery building in Dhaka today. Members of the Indian community, ITEC alumni, students and officials of the High Commission and visiting trainee officers of the Indian Foreign Service (IFS) listened to the programme. A poster exhibition on Lifestyle for Environment (LiFE) was also mounted on the occasion.
The Maan Ki Baat programme of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was launched in October 2014. Broadcast on All India Radio, the programme has raised issues of concern to common people. From gender sensitivity to cleaning up of the Himalayan areas of plastic waste, remarkable achievements of individuals to social movements, issues of importance to common people have found a place in the programme.

Listeners of the Mann Ki Baat programme expressed happiness at the programme reaching a milestone of 100 episodes today. They also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for addressing issues like women empowerment, individual initiative and cultural and educational issues during his monthly Mann Ki Baat.

Addressing the listeners after the event, High Commissioner Pranay Verma highlighted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mann Ki Baat programme celebrates the achievement of the common people.
