Cold waves intensified in Himachal Pradesh as most of the higher reaches of the state are experiencing fresh snowfall, while many parts of the state are receiving rain since this morning.
The state capital Shimla town received snowfall once again, while the higher reaches of the state have been experiencing moderate snowfall since last night.
The state Meteorological Department has forecast more rain and snow in the state till Friday.
In Uttarakhand, temperature dipped further following rain at different places and snowfall at higher reaches of the state. It also affected election campaigns in hilly areas. Following the Covid restrictions, leaders of political parties are going door to door to woo the voters.
