Sensex surges 460 points, Nifty ends at 17,354

At the stock markets, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange surged 460 points, or 0.8 per cent, to end at 58,254 today. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange jumped 150 points, or 0.9 per cent, to 17,354.
