Meghalaya reported 187 fresh new COVID-19 cases with 479 recoveries in the last 24 hours. Directorate of Health Services informed that 11 deaths were also registered out of which nine of them were not vaccinated. Five deaths were from East Khasi Hills district, two each from Ri Bhoi and West Khasi Hills district and one each from East Jaintia Hills and South Garo Hills district.
The total number of deaths due to COVID-19 has reached 1,174 and East Khasi Hills has the highest number of deaths with 822 cases.
The total confirmed cases in the state stands at 69,358 out of which 4,734 are active and 63,450 are recovered.
So far, 11,59,398 doses have been administered of which 9,32,737 people have received the first dose and 2,26,661 have received the second dose.
