Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has said that Delhi Government is taking all measures to contain the spread of bird flu in the city.

Addressing media on Saturday, Mr Kejriwal said that so far not a single confirmed case of bird flu has been detected in the national capital and it is continuously monitoring the situation. He said, about 104 samples have been lifted and sent for lab testing in Jalandhar in Punjab and based on the result further steps will be taken. He said, Delhi government is following all the instructions and guidelines issued by the Centre in this regard. He said, a helpline 23890318 has also been set up.

Mr Kejriwal also informed that import of live birds has been completely banned in Delhi from today and Ghazipur poultry market will remain closed for 10 days.
