45 Muslims make it to UPSC out of 829 successful candidates this year

With a slight improvement in success rate, about 45 Muslim candidates make it to the prestigious Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examination result of which was declared on Tuesday.

A total of 829 candidates have been recommended for appointment including 304 General, 78 EWS, 251 Other Backward Classes, 129 Scheduled Castes and 67 Scheduled Tribes candidates.

Out of 829 candidates, 45 are Muslims which stands 5.42%. Last year in 2018, out of 759 who qualified, 30 Muslim candidates were successful in the UPSC examination.

UPSC on Tuesday declared the results of the Civil Services 2019 examinations. PRADEEP SINGH has secured the top position in UPSC civil services examination 2019. JATIN KISHORE and PRATIBHA VERMA secured second and third position respectively in the examination.
