At least 14 people were killed and several others injured when a private bus in which they were travelling rammed a stationary truck on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway late on Wednesday night, the police said.
Among injured many are in serious condition.
The injured have been moved to the PGI at Safai in Etawah for treatment. Of those injured, 35 are said to be in serious condition. Sources say that there were around 50 passengers in the sleeper bus.
All the injured have now been rushed to the Saifai medical college.
“At least 31 injured patients have been admitted to the hospital and 13 were brought dead,” Dr Vishwa Deepak, Medical Officer, Emergency Ward of Saifai Mini PGI, told media.
Superintendent of Police (rural) Rajesh Kumar said that the accident took place at around 10 pm on Wednesday in Nagla Khangar Police Station area of Firozabad.

The injured have been sent to Saifai in Etawah for treatment, he said.
Taking cognizance of the accident, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed the district magistrate and senior superintendent of police to reach the spot and oversee relief work.
He also issued directives for proper treatment of the injured, a statement issued by the state government in Lucknow said.
