Bangladesh beat India by three wickets to win maiden ICC U-19 World Cup title in Potchefstroom, South Africa tonight by the Duckworth-Lewis method. Batting first, India were all out for 177 in 47.2 overs. Yashaswi Jaiswal scored 88 runs off 121 balls.
Earlier, Bangladesh skipper Akbar Ali won the toss and elected to field. India are unbeaten in the tournament so far, winning their all five matches. In the semifinal on Tuesday, India defeated arch-rivals Pakistan by 10 wickets.
First time finalists Bangladesh, on the other hand emerged as the dark horse and beat South Africa and New Zealand in their journey to the finals. Bangladesh remained unbeaten in this tournament.
